Bee Engineering, through its GameLAB, contributes for the third consecutive time in the organization of Games For Good, the game jam that helps NGO’s with video games and gamification techniques. The event takes place at the Laureate International University’s IADE in Lisbon (Portugal) from the 5 to the 7 of April.
Games for Good 2019 game jam participants will help nonprofit organizations to find the best solutions to their real needs using technology. Associação Corações com Coroa; the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation; the Portuguese Association against Childhood Obesity and UPPA - Union for the Protection of Animals are the institutions that will take part of the game jam.
The 48 hour competition aims to provide participants with a highly creative and interactive environment and it is divided into two categories: Games for Good Pro, limited to 50 participants, dedicated to professionals and students of higher education, from the age of 18; and Games for Good Junior, that has school students in grades 10 to 12.
The third edition of the game jam promoted by IADE - Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication of the Laureate International University’s IADE, has as main partners Bee Engineering, the National Association of Teachers of Informatics (ANPRI) and A Ludoteca. The initiative has the support of Sony Playstation, McDonalds D. Carlos I, Vitalis, Space Cafés and IberAnime.
